8:30– 9:00 Put things away, turn in folders, check-in and morning work– restroom breaks
9:00-9:10 Morning Meeting– Conduct pledges and share morning message about the learning expectations of the day.
9:10—10:10 Literacy Stations– use rotation schedule on white board
10:10– 10:20 Phonics– Review the “Care Phonics” sound cards and work with the
phonics skills set for the week.
10:20– 10:25 Music and Movement– Dr Jean on CD player- #6
10:25—10:35 Whole Group Reading- Read story of the week.
10:35– 11:15 Writers Workshop / work on writing
11:20—11:30 Transition to lunch / Walk students to lunch in Building C
11:55– 12:15 Recess
12:15—12:35 Brain Break- Read to self from Book Bags or listen to chapter books
12:35– 1:35 Math– Whole group calendar– count the days, count; Math Lesson whole group; worksheet or game; Math stations
1:35– 2:00 Free Choice Stations—Art, blocks, pretend center, et’al
2:00– 2:40 Music, art, Spanish, science, social studies; snack and recess
2:40– 3:00 Social Studies / Science—reflective writing/journaling
3:00– 3:10 Daily Message to parents via email or blog
3:10– 3:30 End of the day clean up and preparation for dismissal
3:30 Car riders in front of building A with Mrs. McCourt while I walk bus riders to the bus oval and get them on their bus.
