Case- "Yesterday we went on a hike."  Emma- "We went on the trail."  Suri- "The trail is in the forest."  Sadie- "The forest is at school."

Yesterday Mrs. McCourt and I walked the students to Rentie Grove which is a nature preserve on our school property.  We walked them along the trail in search of signs of Fall.
Some of the things we saw are-
Camryn-  "Squirrels"
Kimberly- "Spider"
Angel - " Spider webs"
Lateef- "Spider web"
Sung Sung - " log"
Immanuel- "trees"

We saw many trees that are still green.  However, a few of the trees have started showing off their beautiful colors.

We also picked up persimmons from the playground and near the parking lot.  Some of the students helped wash the sticky goop off of the seeds and we let them dry.  Today we cut them open to see if there were spoons, knives, or forks in the middle.  According to the seeds and the farmers almanac, we are in for a colder than average winter with more snow than usual.  YIKES!
